The Swanson Course

Brad and Ann Swanson completed their 18-hole course at their summer home in Spooner, Wisconsin — making it the fourth Mountain Golf course in the world.

Brad is the 1959 club champion from the original Mountain Golf course on Red Cedar Point, on Lake Minnewashta in Excelsior, Minnesota. The course map features holes winding from the clubhouse to the beach on the lake, with a total yardage of 1,501 feet across 18 holes.

The second tee, as seen from the 2019 event, has now been moved to the yard.

Summit Avenue Classic

Brad and Ann Swanson hosted the annual August tournament at their home on Summit Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The 2025 event honored Grand Marshall Evodia Linner on her 102nd birthday. Players competed for the title with decades of Mountain Golf history on the line.

The 2025 winner was Stephen Seagren from La Jolla, California — who also holds the distinction of being the 1960 Red Cedar Point champion. That's 65 years between championships.

The Quarberg Course

David and Seena Quarberg opened their home course in Mendota Heights, Minnesota in June 2024. The nine-hole course features challenging terrain — pitching over the backyard creek or the inground planter in the front yard makes for excitement and fun.

The clubhouse is second to none. It features great views of the backyard holes and boasts a bar and food preparation area under the cover of the deck.

2026 plans are underway for a major tournament with family and friends.

The Next Generation

Fun for All Ages

Caroline (6) and Lewis (4) started playing from the kid's tees at the summer family event on Sylvan Lake — and they loved it.

Mountain Golf has always been a game that spans generations. Watching the youngest players pick up their first clubs and fall in love with the game is what it's all about.
